Christ-like Suffering Ceases Sin

Jesus had a mindset to suffer in refection of sin during his temptation and acceptance of rejection during his trials, deferring his gratification and joy to a heavenly glory that he knew was coming.  This same mindset, to suffer in our fight against sin and to delay our gratification, will enable us to stop sinning (1 John 4:1).
